I didn’t know what to expect from the “Kony 2012” video. 30 minutes? Sure I have some spare time, I’ll watch it. I definitely cried a bit watching this video. There is so much injustice in the world that we cannot keep up with it all. I am so motivated to do something, I truly want to make a difference. So I spread the word and posted the video on Facebook and #hashtagged it on Twitter. I definitely did not do my research but I purchased a bracelet from invisible children.
I wasn’t jumping on a bandwagon and I didn’t buy a bracelet cause it’s “what everyone’s doing.” I was truly moved by this video and I still believe that a little goes a long way. I really hope that they use the proceeds for a good cause. I should have done my research in the first place but that’s besides the point.
The fact that we are all aware of this issue amazes me. The power of technology and how fast something can spread like wild-fire. But most importantly, the power that we all have within. A 30 minute video brought millions of people together, can you imagine? I hope this is a wake up call for everyone to get involved with not just this cause, but other ones too. The world needs more of this unity and I hope that we can all make a difference.
I feel like I’m on top of the world right now.
When you set a goal and achieve it, it just feels oh so wonderful.
I feel like such a kick-ass person LOL. Is that conceited? Does that even make sense? I don’t really know, but whatever, can’t hold me back rawrh! Literally, I’m not gonna kick anyone’s bum, but I feel like I can kick school in the bum. Two more months at this school, then another two years for my degree! AHCK.
Super irrelevant BUT, as much as I don’t support Chris Brown and the whole beating up Rihanna thing, I’m addicted to “Strip” by Chris Brown.
In some cases, I truly believe in destiny.
I believe that everyone has a special someone that was made for them. Some of us are fortunate enough to find that person they were destined to be with. If you have that special someone in your life right now, don’t ever let them go.
